Sentimore will be a tiger, but as far as TR to UF.....I respectfully disagree....

From a writer for FlaVarsity.com:

"This weekend some schools around the state were doing their junior days as some of the top junior prospects were checking out schools. Today FSU was holding their junior day so it was a chance to talk with some of them. As you know Trent Richardson is visiting FSU this weekend but nevertheless as I was starting to interview some kids I felt this guy bump me and nearly knock me down, and turned around and there was Trent with a big smile on his face. We chatted really quick because I never like to bother kids on their official visits but Trent took a few moments in talking about the recruiting process, and just excited that it's nearly over. Trent wanted to give every school an equal chance through the process which is why he decided on taking all the visits to different schools. It was good to see Trent because I remember this was the same kid that was actually worried going into his sophomore year if he could play division one football in college, which I laughed about at the time because there are some kids you know that are just special, and Trent falls into that category. Obviously I see a lot of kids every year but I can say without reservation that Trent is the best I've seen in over ten years in following, and evaluating football in the state of Florida.

Now with all of that said I can say that Trent is having a very good visit at FSU. As you may know I had some doubts about how firm that commitment was after a very good in-home visit with Coach Meyer. However, as Tim covered, the Alabama staff had just as good of a meeting with Richardson a few days later. Anyway, despite having a good visit in talking with FSU sources very close with Trent throughout the visit I will say I expect Trent to sign his letter of intent with Alabama. In fact, according to my sources his host at FSU even confirmed that he's having a very good time, but added he's going to Alabama. IMO the deal was sealed on the in-home from Alabama. From what I've been told the staff did a tremendous job at letting Trent know his importance to the Crimson Tide offense, and how he fits in there. As I maintained after the Florida update despite the positive update for Florida I still expected Trent to pick Alabama because of the Tide having plenty of time to weather the storm with that in-home from Florida.

Now clearly I can't predict the future but all indications I've heard close to the situation have Trent picking the Crimson Tide on Wednesday afternoon. Either way I will have our FV staff there, along with BOL at his signing.

Thanks for the info from the sportswriter. It sounds pretty reasonable to me, and it is playing out like I expected. However, I have been wrong many times so far in recruiting

I think Trent just wanted reassurance from the Alabama staff about his role, and they were able to convince him. Who knows what BS Meyer told him on his visit? He probably said that Florida was going to run the Power I next year, while Bama was switching to the run and shoot with Greg McElroy or something equally ridiculous.

LSU and Bama are both much better fits for Richardson's style, and it looks like he prefers Bama. Oh well.
