If you come welcome, if you don't your spot will be filled quick. Make the best decision for you, your major and what you want to do after college.

Texas and Baylor are both up there academically. i got accepted to both for grad school. Baylor was a little better in my field so I went there. Good school but boring. Baton Rouge is no Austin but it's a lot better than Waco. and I've been to over 20 stadiums and nothing is close to Tiger Stadium in atmosphere or tailgating. if u like to drink, party, and experience life; LSU is your school.

frick it, go to LSU. If you can't get in to UT right away, definitely come here. Three of my high school friends went to Baylor and claim it's 100% homosexual.

UTSA? Sam Houston? SOUTHLAND CONFERENCE SCHOOLS?!

Listen to me and listen good, I went to a Southland school for a year, and unless you want to piss away a year of your life being part of a 13th year of high school, I'd strongly suggest not going there.

Go to LSU. Don't be a pussy.

I must agree wholeheartedly with this.

I'm from Texas. Came to LSU, joined a fraternity, and the rest is history. Best decision of my life. Been spelling Geaux the right way ever since.

That said, I've got a brother and sister that go to UT, and they're enjoying themselves too. Austin is an awesome city. Either way you go, you can't go wrong. Don't stress about it.

Baylor isn't even in the same stratosphere as LSU and UT. You'll get a much better social education, which is more important than a book education imo, at LSU or UT, and you won't have to deal with all the religous fanatics.

LSU:

Funnest parties, hottest and nicest girls, great education (top 30 in the country in all kinds of different majors) LSU football, enough said, greek system is out of this WORLD, the food is some of the best in state, and obviously, LA is known for its food, and the people in general. From the professors to the average Joe and Jane on the street. You will never meet more hospitable people, than some of the people around B.R.

LSU is where dreams come true.

P.S. Texas is just next door, so you're always a car ride away from back home.

I grew up south of Austin. My brother went to Texas A&M and I went to LSU. Going to LSU was the best decision I ever made. There is nothing in the world like it. I studied in Europe and attended graduate school at Emory. Not only was LSU a blast, but the education served me well.

Doesn't Baylor have a dry campus? Something to consider.

Visit the schools and decide for yourself. If you ask this question on hornfans or any other Texas board, their answers will be very similar and biased as what you've recieved here.

LSU is awesome.

Its an awesome place. 1 hour from new orleans, and 1 hour from Lafayette (both of which are awesome places to go on the weekends to party).

The campus is awesome, Baton Rouge is no Austin buts its not bad at all, plus there is Lafayette and NO just an hour away, both with great bars and nightlife.

Actually at LSU there's quite a few guys that will sit on your lap too, if that's your thing...

Just sayin.

Seeing that you are from Texas, college is about broadening your horizons. Going to LSU offers you the chance to experience a different culture. You'll be able to taste some food that is unique in this great country of ours as well as have the opportunity to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans, festivals throughout South Louisiana and football as God intended it - on a Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium.

There is a very, very deep bond amongst those of us that are LSU alumni as well as the friends of LSU. A friend that I know here in Los Angeles said that the LSU people are like a cult and after getting to know some of us, he has grown to love a place that I will always call "home." He said that when you ask an LSU alumnus about our Alma Mater, our faces light up with a smile and sometimes a tear for a place we hold so dear in our hearts.

Congratulations on being accepted to LSU. Now it's up to you to make the final step to become a Tiger. If you choose to do so, it is a decision that you will not regret.
