i think where/if he gets drafted depends mostly on his weight

if he's sub-280 then that's going to be tough

If he comes in at 285+ (good combine), then yes.....2nd day pick.

He probably will, but I doubt he gets much playing time in his NFL career

if he can get to a solid 285 while adding functional power and keep his current movement, he could play for teams who run zone blocking like houston, indy, the pats, etc

He could add 10-15 pounds and be 290-295 but that doesn't mean he can play at that weight. If he could play at that weight I'd imagine he would of gotten there a long time ago. As a senior @ 6'2, 278 that tells me for him to do what he does best he needs to be a lightweight which doesn't bode well for his NFL stock. In the NFL you go up against huge NT's at least half the time in 3-4's and sometimes 4-3's (see Grady Jackson in ATL).

Here's some food for thought...

Brett Helms was a 3 year starter at center for LSU. Rudy Niswanger was a 1 year starter at LSU, and now he starts at center for the chiefs.

The Dolphins spent a 2nd round pick on Samson Satele in 2007. He has started all 33 games of his NFL career and now the Dolphins are thinking about moving him because they think he is undersized at 300 lbs. What does that tell you?

Indy's All Pro Center Jeff Saturday is 6'2" 295 I think Brett could play at that weight.

Todd McClure is around that size and how many years has he been playing? In the Pros, technique comes into play. Kevin Mawae has been playing at around 75% and still knows how to play and handle DT in the Pros.

Niswanger, 6-5 and 301 lbs, plus the coach said he is the most intelligent football player he has been around. Helms doesn't have the size and, just as importantly, is not that strong for an interior lineman. P. Jerry for Ole Miss mauled him in 2008 as did other DT's playing on the nose, seriously on one play he literally threw Helms backwards about 4 yards and blew up the pocket on initial contact. I can't see Helms gaining 20 lbs of good weight, nor becoming more physical in his play.

As much as I would love for him to be drafted I don't see it happening. His size hurts him and didn'y play extremely physical this year.

He will get a look for sure but it will be as an UDFA.
