Should We Install Synthetic Turf at Tiger Stadium?

Watching the start of the Sugar Bowl, I was just thinking about how we own the Superdome. Then, except for the 2005 SEC Championship Game against Georgia, we have owned the Georgia Dome as well. Would we have even more of a home field advantage if we put some type of synthetic/artifical turf in at Tiger Stadium to take advantage of our speed? The actual turf there is terrible anyway.

What do ya'll think? Pros/cons?

i say YES

Our piece of shite field negates all of that speed that we recruit.

Yes...the cost of maintenence would be almost nothing. I bet LSU spends hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on the grass and field looks better.

natural grass

LSU has an agricultural center - get those folks in gear on the grass situation, jeez it is that hard to grow grass?

I would be OK with it. There are plenty other "traditions" still in place. If a faster track provides a tangible advantage for us, then why not?

I say yes, I would always prefer real grass. But LSU A&M can't grow grass

i always said that we should get feild turf. we already practice on it in the cholly mac facility. and it would save shite loads of money by not having to re-sod the feild every two years.

I don't want them to...If they do decide to do that, it won't be for a couple of years...especially after the money we spent on the HD screen that will be there next season.

Yes. The field looks terrible. The new turf is great compared to the old fake stuff.

An A&M school should always show its chops with a kick-arse natural field. Good job, MSU!

If grass makes our players slower, wouldn't it also make opposing players slower as well? Doesn't it even out?
