I know it may be selfish and not to offend or diminish the contributions from players outside the state. It is good to see passion, intensity and leadership coming from one of our own.

I never think about where our players are from. It's a non-issue for me.

I totally agree. What does it matter where they are from? If they are Tigers, they are Tigers whether they are from Bunkie or Bangkok.

Let's see, Matt Mauck/Matt Flynn, either from Louisiana? Either big-time athletic QB's? Either one win BCS championships?

I don't know, but I'm thinking every player we grab from UT, OU, FLA, GA, AL or even ARK is a huge victory for LSU.

The way I look at it, when a kid makes a decision to come and play for LSU, he's an adopted Louisianian and always will be and should be accorded the respect and appreciation that goes with that decision. Lots of these kids had other options but chose LSU and that should mean something.

Why are you in Virginia Beach? Shouldn't you be in Louisiana?

Damn yall, don't be so rough on this guy...he didnt say anything thats outta the ordinary or dog any of our out of state players. He said its good to see a LA boy lead the Tigers to victory. We havent had that at the qb position in a while...dont twist his words where it seems like he is ungrateful for our out of staters....relax.

What the QB does in his free time is not our business.

I don't think it matters one bit where they come from.

We want LSU to be a national program drawing blue chippers from everywhere.

I completely agree with the sentiment expressed by the author of this thread.

You could add JR and Rohan to the list of recent outstanding quarterbacks who have added to the luster of LSU Football. YA Tittle and Jeff Wickersham were a few years back.

I don't care if we have a guy named Achmed Habib from the Gaza Strip playing QB and yelling "Praise Allah" after every TD, as long as he wins.
