This is so true.

Try having a TWIC with that attitude.
There's no drug testing to get a twic.

Oh dear lord, please yes. This shite is so overdue, and just a common sense move.

No major bank does. Its federally illegal for them to service the cannabis industry and the ones that do, the compliance needed isn’t worth the hassle.
No major bank does because it isn’t as profitable as you think. Its federally illegal for any bank to service the cannabis industry but many due as long as its legal in the states the cannabis business are domiciled.
I know cannabis bankers from many states. I have seen their programs. None are overly complex or costly. It does take a commitment and working with the bank’s regulatory bodies, their Board of Directors and their shareholders.

My buddy is a DEA agent with a drug task force that includes a few state guys and some deputies. Weed isn’t even on their radar anymore. It would have to be an epic amount being moved to even get their interest up and then it would have to be something that could lead to a bigger prize.
This. Plus, TSA doesn’t care if you are traveling with a personal amount of cannabis products. Not worth the hassle.

Weed is federally illegal; FDIC isnt going to insure your money.
Incorrectly. FDIC, state and Fed regulators have never stated that. Their are billions of state legal bank transactions that happen every day and billions in deposits that are insured up to the FDIC limit.

the federal classification issue, at its heart, is about the money made from dispensaries cannot be deposited in the bank, because its a federal crime since its drug money. if they reschedule it, millions of dollars can then be deposited and transacted like any normal retail sale. right now, people have huge sums of money they must keep in a safe because there is no legal way to put that money in the bank
Just incorrect. See post above.
This all changed about 10 years ago. Of the 4000 financial institutions, there are ~600 cannabis banks, easily 2-3 per state where cannabis is legal.

try again, those canibus banks are not FDIC federally insured banks and they are not backed by the government like regular banks so the money is still not protected

I actually just invested in a medical marijuana cultivation facility in Mississippi.

They can’t stop because they need the funding source.

We're talking about the people who are still trying to fight the Soviet Union so yeah.

I openly smoked joints at jazzfest pre Katrina. Probably was not a smart idea at the time but nobody ever seemed to notice or care.
