I’m a private school kid just now getting introduced to some of the shenanigans that occur in public high school sports. What should I know? Any stories?

Did you start posting when you were 10?

It seems like there are several Jaxsons, Parkers, and Paxtons on this board, that just never got their shot. I guess there was way less natural athletic talent than I assumed.

Shenanigans? Only shenanigans in high school sports seem to come in at private schools. Where you can’t cut the wrong kid. I graduated private and there were definitely kids that had no business being on the teams, but they couldn’t be cut because their parents donated too much. Maybe there are things in public school too, but I doubt it is as abundant.

The better private school programs literally have wealthy parents that’ll pay the tuition for kids that can’t afford it, as long as the kid is really good at “insert sport here”.
Most of the time the kids with the rich parents have no business being on the team, but they’re footing the bill for studs…so there’s no cutting that kid.
If that isn’t shenanigans then I don’t know what is.

You’ll never have the makings of a varsity athlete. And you probably have an a-hole uncle who will remind you of it. Keep an eye on that fricker.

Coaches keep the kids who they believe will win them the most games.

The kids of wealthy and influential parents will play if not start, even if they are 110 lb. Weaklings

This to a T. Also a private school kid. Depending on how big/small the coaches testicles are, they will play who donates the most to the school

Kids would get arrested if they did things we did back "in the day".
You ever had nair on your crank/balls then Tabasco sauce shot on them from a water gun.
You ever picked an olive up off a block of ice and with your arse then ran a 40 yard dash ?
