Kendrick Lamar and ‘South Park’ creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone’s untitled musical will release on July 4, 2025 in theaters.

The film follows a young Black man interning as a slave reenactor at a living history museum who discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.

Old Trey and Matt would probably make this about commenting on the actual relevance of slavery today in terms of national conversation. Like why haven't we moved past it?

New Trey and Matt - not so sure.

This explains why J. Cole sent an apology for dissing him.

They been much softer on the left side of things, and slightly harder on the right side of things.

Even the trans issue they sort of went an alternate direction from the original version of that episode with Kyle's dad as a dolphin - where there intent was probably clear.

We saw The Book of Mormon on Braodway when we were last in NYC. It was excellent. If this is half as good, I'll be excited to see it.

Matt and Trey have always been more left than right, they had pro LGBT episodes as far back as the late 90s

I dunno, I could see this being some kind of satire that skewered all sides - like some of the stuff that was done on Atlanta. Kendrick Lamar is way better than the average rapper.

Bro they literally had Macho Man Randy Savage identify as female and win the Stong Woman games. If that's not calling out the absurdity I don't know what to tell you.

They also had Mr/Ms/Mr Garrison transition/de-transition back in the mid-late 00s, when it was considered absurdist humor. While they had the chicken-fricker episode, they also had Garrison with Mr. Slave.

Chef was one of the biggest voices of reason against LGTBQ+ANUS69~~. When they split with Isaac Hayes, they never really filled that void with another character who tried to guide/advise the kids.

Book of Mormon

I literally cried laughing the first time I saw it.

I’ve probably watched less than 10 episodes of South Park in my life. I will be one of the first in line to see this.

Then why haven’t they attacked Biden yet? Biden gives them so much material and nothing. They nailed Trump and Bush. Clinton and Obama were represented in the show too

It’s going to suck because Trey and Matt lost their balls years ago and South Park has been a lame shell of its former self. It’s just sad really.
