How many receivers that transferred out do we even remember?

Koy Moore won us the Auburn game when he was at Auburn.

When asked about his decision to leave a “crowded” receiver room in Baton Rouge, Moore backed up his decision to bet on himself after going through a coaching change that saw his playing time decrease.

“It wasn’t even about that,” Moore said of the other wide receivers in the room. “In my opinion, I’m not trying to be cocky or nothing, I was the best receiver in that room.”

I may look up who all was in that particular WR room with him and what their college and NFL stats look like, and NFL earnings.

I'm going to guess that there was exactly one person who thought Koy Moore was the best WR in that room.

Jaray Jenkins, Boutte, Nabers, BTJ, Jontre Kirklin, Hilton, Trey Palmer, Jack Bech.

Holy shite. There were "bad" WRs in that room in the NFL now.

Without knowing much about what these guys bring off the field, which matters, from an on the field production standpoint the cold hard facts are that LSU could stand to lose:

Ibieta
Yaites
Langlois
Hughes
Mubenga
Prean
Gilbreath

I'd also say really any of the DT's not named Guillory or class of 2024 guys could go if it is for a 1 for 1 trade with someone better out of the portal. The only reason they're not on the list above is because we are razor thin.

I think the users above are correct on Sampson. He's likely gone just speculation. He's raw and is it's pretty obvious Parker is way ahead of him.

He’s still a freshman
Let’s see if he makes a move over the summer and in fall camp. Assuming he sticks it out. Some kids need a little more time to mature physically and mentally

You mean the Greater than thou or the way he acts like he’s a coach with a technical analysis that he read somewhere else or just being a pretentious ahole
Other than that yeah you’re right except that more often than not take

Omarion Miller was part of that recruiting cycle, some were saying he was the best WR in the state that year.

That dude played himself when he decided his recruitment was to Mickey Joseph instead of LSU.

BK and Sloan have both mentioned him in their interviews over the past week. They must think he’s considering leaving and trying to sway him to stay.

Yaites looks the part, but doesn’t like contact. Had the same issue in HS.

No doubt. Dancing on a kids grave after his true freshman season is a bad look. Sampson is one of the most athletically gifted receivers on the roster. Hope he hangs in there.

And why the comparison with Kyle Parker? They are different types of receivers. It's like comparing Nabers and BTJ...different styles/strengths.

definitely an opening next year for Rickie/AJ/Colin to take the job.

Nuss might object to that.

Yep. Room for both. The only reason I could see Sampson having a tough time is the playbook and route running.

Parker was already technically prepared coming into lsu. He can play inside and out. Sampson is more of that outside x receiver so his opportunities will be less.

If Nuss has the kind of year we all think he can, he's going to the league.

Yap.

Class was loaded. Harvey Broussard too. Super underrated

This is why people can’t freak out about WRs
