LSU made it to the Elite 8 with 5 volume scorers this year and a very limited bench. The very limited bench production and the lack of a true PG killed this year’s team. If LSU takes the next step with a deeper roster of players capable of hurting you offensively, then they will have the right balance to sub players in and out of the game with little
to no drop off. You can’t have starters going to the bench to rest, then you are wondering where the points are going to come from while they rest.

LSU didn't have any "volume scorers" last year.

Morrow lead the team in field goal attempts by a large margin, with 519 shots; but she still shot 46.4%. Her team leading 14 FGA per game puts her at 93rd in the nation. Not what I'd consider a volume scorer. Even though she has been tabbed as a high volume scorer, HVL attempted the least amount of FGs among the starters at 328 FGA.

Olsen shot the ball 710 times, 20.3 times per game, and at a lower FG% than any of LSU's starters outside of HVL. She also shot a worse 3PT% than any of LSU's starting guards and tied with Poa at 29.4%.
