SLC downtown and surrounding areas already kick arse.

Dafuq?

No.

I was there last year and found it comparable to Baton Rouge’s downtown, but with a light rail that will take you to a minor league baseball stadium.

Why not pair the Utah Jazz with the Utah Brass, if SLC is going to continue stealing team names from NOLA?

Hey, fair enough. I respect your opinion, but if you think SLC and Baton Rouge are comparable in any way, you may need to expand your frame of reference.

I moved here from New Orleans 3 years ago, and lived in Boston and LA before that.

I love it here.

Arizona was obviously doomed but Salt Lake City is not in my top 10 of places I’d think would be in line for a hockey team.

Universally regarded as top 3 choices for expansion teams and top 1 for Arizona. Affluent populace, winter sports haven, dedicated ownership, why wouldnt they be at the top?

I was hoping the Coyotes would move to Houston but now it is seeming that Houston and Atlanta are the top choices for expansion.

The problem with Utah is the religious issue. It would be like moving to team to Mecca.

It ain't huge. New Orleans has a more populous metro area. 1,270,530 to 1,257,936

Ogden and Provo are near by. 2.7 million people with SLC right in the very middle. Plus it is rapidly growing.

That’s a very original take. I live here. Tell me more about the area.

It’s still amazing Atlanta is getting a hockey team for the 3rd time

When is the NHL going to realize that ghetto city doesn’t care about hockey

But they’re gonna move to the burbs according to Atlanta homers.

Thought they just agreed to a new arena/complex near Scottsdale?

Scottsdale yesterday, I think, told them they would not get approved to build in Scottsdale, Mayor blaming it on water

Good thing the ghetto city wouldn’t get them

The ghetto city poorly supported the Braves even in their 15-straight divisional run

Move them to the burbs and what do you know? Top 5 in attendance

People who go to stadiums for sports just to look at shite outside of the stadium are weird. If you want to look at mountains, go look at mountains, why buy a ticket for a game?

A fool and their money

Dale Murphy was involved with trying to get the A’s to temporarily move to Salt Lake City until the Vegas stadium opens, with the thinking being that would put them in line for an MLB expansion team. Seems to me, you could have nice regional rivalries with SLC, Vegas, Colorado and Arizona.

For the record: I go to BYU baseball games and I’m not going there to look at the mountains. Lol is that how u think it works?

The mountains are just there. It’s a nice backdrop for a baseball game because these schools are situated in highly scenic areas.

Holy shiit man hahaha
