re: How pissed off do you think Scott Woodward is right now along with President Tate?

Jeff Landry wanted Bob Mann punished for calling someone who worked under him a “flunky”. You seriously think they have the power here?
Mann threw a fit and resigned because his employer (who he frequently criticizes) didn't come out and support him.
Bob Mann does more harm to LSU than good. LSU athletics prop up the entire state.

What about everyone else in n attendance? Or the workers. Everyone must be watching or face permanent ban from all games for spectators and fired if a worker

I hope the Ghost of Huey P comes for him in the night like the ghost of Christmas past… with the OG Mike the Tiger on a chain… bumping Hot Boys

LSU has become a Wole University. Carville said he quit teaching there because snowflakes didn't like his jokes and they told him...and he is a flaming LIBERAL.

Landry should stick to what he’s good at: dealing coke out of his home with fellow sheriff’s deputies.
Sounds like a party, a wild one at that.

Landry is burning up any goodwill he had garnered up to this point.
Very strange that he picks this hill to die on.

If you think a Carville liberal is anything similar to a college-aged liberal, you may have a couple extra chromosomes. The only difference between you and Carville is economics and abortion.

No decision has ever been made to compromise with any protesters. That is an absolute lie and complete bs. I have been attending games for 50 years now. LSU has always been in the locker room for the athemn ….along with the opposing team.
I have also been to opposing stadiums and teams do not come out for national athemn since the 1980’s.
Don’t throw that crap around. Others may not know the truth. But us old timers who actually attended games know they truth.
You telling me there were protesters to anthemn over 50 years ago and a compromise was made with them?!?!? When teams were almost all white?!?!? That is news to me. Bwahahaha

Ignoring the fact that this wasn't even a protest
This keep getting lost in the discussion and something the governor doesn’t seem to understand. If anything the reverse is probably true. Look back to the days athletes kneeled to protest the national anthem. Timing pregame activities so that teams were off the field/court during the anthem was a maneuver by coaches to avoid controversy caused by kneeling and conflict with players who were inclined to kneel. Being absent was not a protest. They took away their opportunity to disrespect the national anthem, and this practice has become a part of the pregame schedule. And that’s why the brouhaha is so disingenuous and should fade away.

Not sure if this has been pointed out in any of the other threads, but Landry was at the Middle Tennessee game in the PMAC a week before the Iowa game. So he had no issue with them not being out there then (or if he did didn't say anything about it). But now all of a sudden he does when it happens at a game he wasn't even at.

LOL at Woodward and Tate not being political

Ya know, I don't really think the governor should be wading into it, but it's also a completely dumb unforced error by Mulkey. The entire, "whoops, we didn't know" argument is obvious complete nonsense. And, you'd have to have been born this morning to now know the recent history regarding sports and the anthem.

Amazing how everyone was in an uproar when Kapernuts started kneeling. then we had the whole "look at me" followers doing the same.
Landry's timing was awful, maybe he's an idiot, I dunno
What I do know is that respect for our Country is in the gutter. No one seems to remember what it stands for. No college sports without the sacrifices that were made by our ancestors. But let's keep the panties in the butt crack and be pissed about another stupid La Governor...
What's the big deal for some kids to stand to honor our fallen and take a moment to reflect on why we don't have bombs being dropped on our homes.
Everyone turned into snowflakes to attack another stupid politician.
So much misunderstanding in this post. First the team has had the same routine all year. They leave the court at 12 minutes before tip off to pray. Second the few and the brave bled and died fighting for the freedoms we enjoy today and if you ask a soldier, sailor, airman or marine they will tell you that they respect the right of citizens to exercise the freedoms many brave Americans died protecting.

Didn't Kim do this at Baylor? I'm almost positive she did and has been doing it ever since. I bet she's been doing it before that. Coaches have routines. Especially pre-game.
This was nothing but a hit from reporters out to get Kim and our girls. Funny thing is. It could possibly end up forcing everyone to be present and standing for the anthem.
Don't be too quick to blast Landry. This whole thing might have some karma for these reporters that had it out for us.

Athletics is funded by private donations, dipshit. If athletics were funded by the state, they would be shite, like everything else.

This keep getting lost in the discussion and something the governor doesn’t seem to understand.
If this is going to be a thing then they need to find a way with anthem scheduling for every school to either be out there or not.
Because when there are inconsistencies as there is now it creates problems.
