A decision was made internally several years ago to compromise with the anthem protesters by just keeping them in the locker room. The issue was highlighted the other day and it made LSU look terrible on a national stage.
Are you that dumb?

That's what the whole uproar is about because people are saying that is what LSU is doing when in fact, THEY AREN'T!

Right? I had the same argument with a friend of mine. He keeps repeating that they are avoiding the anthem by staying in the locker room. Of course he watches very little sports except for LSU football, who are also in the locker room during the Anthem. I'm as patriotic as anyone and I consider myself a conservative but I disagree with the governor and this is just another cancel culture attempt by the media and unfortunately there are some gullible LSU fans that are being misinformed.

That’s not what they did. There was no acting out. Because of those freedoms you can choose what to do.

corrupt political establishment.

Guessing you are a Democrat. They are the ones that redefine words constantly. So that would explain that statement.

Yep. Huey Long had our best interest at heart. So did John McKiethin. The rest of them not so much.

The fact that you believe that there is no way a democrat can be a decent human being is why Jeff Landry is governor right now.

You're part of the problem.

Absolutely wrong...The fact that our last full of shite, DEM Governor ran on a moderate platform, honor-code, trust me I was a veteran lie, and then went 100% retard woke and wrecked shite with the help of people like Latoya and SWB, is why we have corrupt, lawyer loving, LSU hating Landry.

This whole slam the LSU Womens BBall team is getting real old. USC and UConn game followed the LSU-Iowa game and neither of them were on the court for the national anthem...no social media blasts about that...

For a governor that refused to show up at a public debate, he sure likes to run his mouth now. He’s a douche bag. Debates should be made mandatory by all gubernatorial candidates. We may not have been stuck with this arse.

We need all the players to be forced onto the field at gunpoint by the national guard and made to stand for the anthem or else we’ll throw their arse in prison! That’ll teach those thugs to respect America!

Jeff Landry was, at the very least, complicit with $10k worth of coke being stowed away in his home.

Crazy how similar this is to the current situation. Here’s the difference: the Tiger girls were validated in that this was unintentional. Landry’s cocaine distribution charge is just his word…. Trust him? We should see what the American public think.

I don't know how pissed off Woodward and Tate are, but I'm so freaking pissed off that I could spit fire right now. This ol USL graduate of a governor needs to shut up and apologize, or get impeached..
And I vote Republican!! (Except for Dan Patrick and maybe Greg Abbott).

That’s the doubling down part, he found out it wasn’t missed by the team as a protest, knew nothing of this for 3 yrs and then has the audacity to say, well well I didn’t know that so here’s what I suggest while proclaiming to be a LSU fan. Remember when we thought politicians were noble, prices were reasonable and people respected their elders- it all erodes as you get older & wiser, none of that sht is true.

No decision has ever been made to compromise with any protesters. That is an absolute lie and complete bs. I have been attending games for 50 years now. LSU has always been in the locker room for the athemn ….along with the opposing team.

I have also been to opposing stadiums and teams do not come out for national athemn since the 1980’s.

Don’t throw that crap around. Others may not know the truth. But us old timers who actually attended games know they truth.

You telling me there were protesters to anthemn over 50 years ago and a compromise was made with them?!?!? When teams were almost all white?!?!? That is news to me. Bwahahaha

LSU is being smart and prudent by not muddying this water up any more than it is. Pick your battles.

I think the governor is following the Jindal path and trying to draw national attention to himself for a future run for the US Senate, then try and convince folks he's capable of the White House. Maybe I'm wrong.

It didn't work for Jindal and whether we like it or not, the rest of the country looks at things different that us sometime.
