Same here. I had their thin fried catfish for the first time about 30 years ago and loved it and that is what I order when I go there.

The wife and I only get out that way maybe once or twice a year, but make it a point to stop there to eat when we are in the area.

See I didn't care for it. Ate at the Manchac location and it was way over-fried (to me) and tasted of old grease. But they do well with it so more power to them.

I also never cared for Spahr's catfish. Just thought it was bland.

We call that collarbone where I'm from. Blakes deli in Thibodaux sells a buttload of fried fish. Everybody assumes it's catfish but it's basa.
