Herring last threw Friday.. he's ready to go

Just interesting that in the view of most on here, that Herring pitched last Friday so he’s ready to go. But… Holman, who started last Friday, isn’t and needs to stay in his regular schedule.

Let’s call this for what it is. Jay isn’t pitching Holman tonight, because he thinks his best chance to win 2/3 is lose tonight and win Fri & Sat.

Herring didn't throw 100 pitches and isn't the announced starter. Even if we want to call it what you suggest, why does it matter what we call it. Jay might be pitching off. Ok. So what?

ETA: We just came off a postseason where Johnson bucked strategy and pitched Skenes on schedule against a 4-seed. The idea that he isn't concerned about pitchers' schedules is refuted very easily by looking at just last year.

Well Jay said that played no part in it. Doubt he’s lying. Don’t see him as the type to do that
