No. but once again MM did nothing physical at all until he was swing at by Repath. Walking in someone’s direction doesn’t take away your future self defense claims. For gods sake Trayvon martin was followed for 100s of feet by Zimmerman before the altercation took place

gain repath backing up and no longer posing a threat is my point. Who know what they were saying.

Repath became a threat again when he threw a punch directly at MM

The document said Repath swung at one of the members in the group. He missed and they hit back, knocking Repath backward.

You apparently are working off info different than what the police report says. What's your source?

Aguing this may be interesting/fun but we simply don't have the facts to come to a conclusion.

While again I haven't looked up LA case or codified law here in general crim law terms the events and timeline from the initial altercation and the final "push or swing" are incredibly important to whether Matthew has the the defence of self defense or the defense of others covering that push/punch.

I can think of multiple hypotheticals crafted around the "facts" that have come out where he has a defense and multiple hypotheticals where he does not have a defense. If WBRZ's reporting of the police report is accurate the wording seems specifically chosen to remove Matt's defence but police reports are designed to support an arrest if that is the way they are leaning.

Someone posted a more complete fact pattern a couple of pages back but in typical OT drive by posting it was uncited.

At this point, I think proclaiming the outcome is in stone either way is just a guess made by filling in the gaps in the limited fact pattern. There are a lot of salient details we don't have for the time period between the first altercation inside and the death of Repath outside. There also seem like there are external forces that would be at play with the DA here. My gut says they both were probably guilty of criminal acts somewhere along the line but we don't have enough facts to begin to determine whether Matthew was criminally responsible for the death.
