Exactly. Arrest him in his office at the airport, show him the warrant and search his house.

But they get their jollies sending in an urban assault team equipped like they were doing a raid in Fallujah.

This was a wide ranging investigation. I wouldn’t be surprised if at one point the ATF was investigating the guns, then Homeland Security, FBI, DEA….. all get pulled into it. Drugs, theft, security breaches, international smuggling of illegal contraband and people, etc. A lot of different agencies were involved.

The ATF uses the gun angle to justify the special warrant and pre-dawn raid so they can swoop in and steal the headlines.
