Has anyone ever broken a finger trying to peel an ORANGE?

...I'm embarrassed to put this in print, but it happened!
After the conclusion of the A-10 Championship between Duquesne and VCU, I was ready for a mid-afternoon snack-- an orange!
Well, it turned out to be a really tough-rinded naval orange, and, after about 20 seconds of intense pushing on the rind, it gave way-- OUCH! not the rind--but rather the proximal phalanx of my right index finger. Now I'm on a shuttle to urgent care, in significant pain, attempting to get a doctor to set the fracture.
Who do I sue-- the grocery store who sold the orange, or Sunkist?
