The USA isn’t. Our deep state government and CIA are enemies of the world.

And quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of picking up the tab and 20%.

Absolute fail, if you know that much and that's your takeaway you are an absolute fool, it was about the US trying to stop the spread of communism. Good Lord man

Why did the US wage a war in Vietnam, in your opinion?
You are asking the wrong questions from that era.
A more relevant question is who in our nation’s national security apparatus tipped off Soviet intelligence assets in Cuba about the planned Bay of Pigs invasion to purposely sabotage that covert action?
Was it done to put Kennedy — who had expressed extreme misgivings about the covert operation even though he was a committed anti-Communist — in the unenviable position of having to choose between the embarrassment of a foreign policy disaster or the risk of a possible larger war with Russia on America’s doorstep?
Further, what enemies did Kennedy accrue after he fired CIA Director Allen Dulles — later a member of the Warren Commission — over the botched Bay of Pigs invasion?
Most importantly, why have the full, unredacted files on the assassination of a U.S. president never been released by our nation’s national security apparatus?

Says someone that has never been deployed to one of the many places we have “intervened”, or visited them afterwards to see the absolute destruction themselves. The more times I deployed, the more I understood that we weren’t the white hats. Don’t get me wrong, frick most of the scum in the ME and Africa, but we have no business being there 99% of the time.

pea brained conspiracy theories
It is not a pea-brain conspiracy theory that the Warren Commission report failed to mention that the CIA was surveilling Oswald when Oswald visited both the Cuban and Soviet embassies in Mexico City in the weeks leading up to Kennedy’s assassination.
That is a documented fact.
You are either a Deep State shill or an ignorant troll — probably both.

The USA is the most brutal, bully, fricked up, corrupted country in the world.

Even the Vietnam war is understandable given the global implications of what was happening at the time.
All it did was threw young men into a meat grinder that was none of our concern. A close family member of mine was one who got sent there at 18 years old because he didn’t go to college or dodge the draft. It was based on a lie(Gulf of Tonkin) just like Iraq(weapons of mass destruction).

I’d agree, if you specify the CIA as being largely responsible.
I had a relative who used to work for “United Fruit Company” in the 50’s, and other associated import/export businesses in Latin America during the 60’s and 70’s.
What I found out before he died, was that he actually worked for the CIA, and spent his career involved in regime change.
He was philosophical about it, looked at it like he was doing his job, and at the time thought America was justified. But he also had regrets, realizing many thousands of people died because of his involvement.
It’s sad, the US has nonstop involved itself intervening in other countries for the last 70+ years, now even Chuck Schumer is calling for new elections in Israel, Zelensky has cancelled elections in Ukraine, and we’re actively looking for ways to remove Putin.

what an absolute load of shite. the reason US intervened in Vietnam was because our ally France was losing its cheap rubber resources colony. also the US saw the rebels being backed backed by Soviets and came up with the dumbest theory called "the domino effect".
instead of trying to win over the fractured factions in Vietnam, the US goes and backs one of the craziest politicians who ends up purging anyone he didn't like. Diem ends up turning poor people to Ho Chi Min's cause. Ho Chi Minh ironically believed that his revolution was similar to George Washington and the founding fathers wanting freedom from the English Crown.
In fact Ho Chi Minh was very pro American and wanted Vietnam to become like America after its revolution against European imperialism. thanks to the stupid Cold Warriors in America we end up losing Vietnam because they were obsessed with the "domino theory". look where we are today, Vietnam is still a communist country that we trade with.
we're against Communist China but we have no problem with the Vietnam Communist Party. in summary you are wrong OP and should be embarrassed.

He’s in this thread arguing that 58,000 dead Americans in a foreign country’s civil war and 500,000 dead Vietnamese was necessary because Vietnam might become a communist nation.
He’s severely disturbed.

If I truly felt that way about the country or region that I lived in, I'd move.
But yet you haven't.
Because you just want to talk shite. You're no different than the frickheads in Hollywood that said they'd move if Trump were elected.
You're all full of shite. If you despise this country, I'll buy your arse a one way ticket the frick out of here bitch.
Put your money where your mouth is losers. I'll buy your tickets today.

The See Eye A starts wars around the world, dabbles in regime change, and makes billions and billions and billions for defense contractors (and politicians).
That's just wrong.
That's just wrong.
