Putin has a reputation for being soft in Russia. And too quick negotiate.
If you watch the Tucker interview, he does seem hurt that Russias has been cut out of Europe. And that would explain why he’s so quick to make settlements. He wants Russia to be part of Europe, and it’s not just practical thinking, it’s not just about economics, it’s an emotional issue and a question of identity.
