Reports say one friend went to the exit with him, but returned to the bar. Reports say Riley told a friend he was going to the hotel which was 5 blocks away. There's nothing about anyone calling him an Uber. At least one of them should have made sure he got back to the hotel. He was apparently in pretty bad shape.

I find it hard to just blame his friends at this point. I could easily see one of his buddies walking to the exit with him as he was getting kicked out and saying “I’m gonna go back upstairs to let our dates know what’s going on, wait outside for a few minutes” then going back down 5 minutes later and he’s already wondered off.
