Milam's hands are so freaking quick and Braswell has been playing pretty dang good. I tried telling someone that if they keep turning 2 like they are doing, the middle infield isn't changing . Even if Jay has to put them batting 8-9 (he won't, but just a hypothetical), they are playing too well together to change that up.

Braswell has been very solid defensively, and he's seeing the ball well at the plate too. He's squaring up a lot of balls that just aren't finding the grass.

I noticed this too. Both have really quick hands IMO. It seems as if the ball never touches their glove, but it’s still very smooth and natural with them.

As you say Braswell is a good SS but IMO Milam is the key to turning 2.Monster's elite catch and throw for double killing is as good as it can be done.
Milam has speed and range as a second baseman that's at the top of infield position players in SEC.
For me Milam is the greatest surprise for 2024 team...another great one from New Mexico !
