You asked for it.

back yard is fenced in. Have trampoline and dilapidated wood play set. flower beds go around patio and are edged with those brown metal things that have metal stakes holding them in the ground

I have 4 climbing rose vines and 2 wisteria vines on the fence just planted in the grass/ground growing up/wired to fence. They’re indestructible wild women. But will be a pain to maneuver under and around.

We have a Great Dane, so he will run into some LARGE poop, and the poor man uses a push mower. I make my sons scoop it, but they are 11 and 7, so they do everything half way— especially when it’s 100 degrees out.

The front yard is pretty easy. Flower beds are just formal straight edged across only the side wings of the house. Have the brown metal edging. There’s nothing across slightly raised brick edged front porch/Grass straight edge

straight sidewalk from porch to street. sidewalk parallel to the street. Have a short little brick edged sidewalk coming from the side of the front porch connected to a little brick edged parking spot connected to the side of the driveway. So he has to weed eat those edges.

Between the back, side and front yard combined, we have about 20 trees and large hedge type shrubs growing just straight in the grass. All young/about 12 years old. 7 are legit trees. I guess the sweet-bay magnolias are too, so 9 legit trees. The other 8 are more like 6x4 hedges. The other 3 are young crepe Myrtles (i can’t call those legit trees, but not really hedges either)

He blows the back porch, patio, courtyard, and front porch to finish.

People have told me they pay 60 dollars to get their 1/2 acre edged, cut, and blown. that doesn’t seem like enough for all that work.

I planted everything in and keep up my own beds, and planted all those trees. But I’m small so maybe it’s harder for me. I would overpay everyone who does manual labor if i could.

He’s a good hard working old school guy. nice as they come. Has a job with DOTD and cuts a few yards after work and on the weekends.

My friend told me 70? Is that fair? I feel like 80?

Probably best to ask him how much he wants to do the job, considering it’s an ongoing project. If it sounds fair to you,, then go ahead. If not, move on to someone else.

Ask him what seems fair to him. If you can afford it, give him $5-10 more than he says. Everyone's happy.

But what to do if he says $100? "That's probably fair, but honestly, I just can't afford that much" and check his response.
