I suggest watching Jake’s documentary on Netflix to anyone that hasn’t seen it, it’ll change your perspective a little on him. It’s a quick watch too. Have a ton of respect for him now and his ability to play the public and generate revenue. Used to hate the guy but then you quickly realize it’s 80% an act.

I watched it, and I tend to agree with you to an extent. While it was cringe as frick, he does have a true skill for manipulating people and figuring out a way to make shite loads of money in the process. That said, Tyson was quoted in that documentary multiple times saying positive things about him and how he is bringing back the sport of boxing, so this isn’t a true surprise. However, that alone tells me this won’t be a real fight. I think a 57-year-old Tyson could hurt him badly because he is not a boxer. I just don’t think Tyson wants to hurt him.

Agree.... IF the bout was even 25% legit. Tyson may not want to hurt Paul OUT of the ring. IMO that possibly changes once he's in the ring.

At first glance this match is pure WWE. The Wild Card is Tyson's predictable unpredictability.

In a real match Mike Tyson would NOT want to be embarrassed by Paul or whomever. As it is even in a "staged" match, his killer instinct in the ring might kick in.

NOT taking Tyson's 57 year old mind and fist to follow the script and NOT hurt Paul is still a gamble. (Paul, sensing this might dance around a lot, jabbing and trying to tire Tyson out a bit (juuust in case Iron Mike suddenly feels frisky.)

This is a match I'd like to see -- yes, even as scripted.
