Not being in LA has got to be so nice

Spotless record two vehicles for my wife and I is $240 a month. I carry a low comprehensive deductible though, so could save a bit there. Not anywhere close to what you pay obviously

You kind of shot yourself in the foot on this once cause the cat is already out the bag. That’s something someone doesn’t just make up and he can run reports and see she has insurance elsewhere. To add her back on he’ll more than likely ask for proof that she resides at the residence as well

Knock on wood, nothing on my record in about a decade yet my insurance has doubled in the past year. I assume its just this fricked everywhere but I really should shop around.

I bought her a 2020 Honda Pilot that's still in my name right now.
She makes the note now. I was paying it up to the split. That's insured with a different company.
She actually never drove any of my cars.
My dad uses one a lot but two of them barely get touched.

One is my every day vehicle

One is a truck for when I need a truck.

One is my weekend convertible

One is suv I bought for my step daughter that pretty much became my dad's car.

I plan to sell the truck and the suv and buy one GX to replace it and just keep the lexus I don't have yet and the bmw mid life crisis mobile.

I have a project car too, but I'm giving up on it. A damn tree fell on it in a storm (1960 Cadillac)

Yeah that’s worth the extra insurance money.

My lawyer didn’t notify me timely that our divorce was finalized in the courts. I tried to get her removed from my medical benefits at work but they told me it was too late; I had to wait until the next enrollment period. She was all empowered and ready to slay the world so she proudly signed up for benefits at her job. I had to go through the rest of the year worrying she would find out she was still covered by my insurance and get implants, a tummy tuck, etc. but she didn’t find out.

That might be insurance fraud.

Signs of a mid-life crisis probably rightfully raise insurance rates.

My insurance went up $45 a month. So I looked at my policy and realized my ex was still on it. We split up a year ago and divorced in October.
So I message Geico and remove her from the policy. Guy gets back to me, policy goes up by $900 over 6 months.

What are your liability limits and what are your collision and comprehensive deductibles?

is a bill that was filed for this upcoming session that says insurances can't charge a premium based on sex.

I've often wondered why its not considered discrimination to charge more for a young male driver than a female. If they can do that then why can't they charge more based on race?

So explain the rate increase? Because even that guy is a better driver than 99% of women.

I learned this twice in my life. They don’t make it easy to remove them. Both times I had to send copies of the divorce. The first ex wife I left for a couple months until she got her own policy. If I’d known it’d gone up, I’d just left her. I didn’t want that second b*tch on anything of mine. I tell people all the time that marriage didn’t count, I was an idiot at that time. I gladly paid the increase. Added my third wife, everything goes back down.

Yeah, I’ve been married 3 times…

On a side note, I’ve been with Progressive for over 20 years. No agent, I do everything online. My policy stays consistent price wise. I’ve got co workers who are every couple years switching agents/companies because of price increases.

I doubt you live in Louisiana

"Full coverage" for most people is only what the law requires, and nothing more.

Op complains about his insurance increased and then comes in and explains to a T why newly divorced men have higher rates.

Guys gonna complain when his life insurance goes up because he’s flying to South America to sky dive and bang prostitutes.
