I tried this earlier today and it felt like my entire upper body cramped up. I have the same thing happen in my hips when I raise my leg to tie my shoe!!

Not my favorite stretch. Even though it is recommended. I don't feel like I get any benefits from this one.
Sounds like me. Tight hammies. Also look into stretches for your Piriformis muscle.
