Glocks have a "safety"...it's called "the trigger"..Standard pressure is 5.5 lbs of pull to make it go bang. I knew a Glock rep who used to drag a loaded gun behind his car when he called on police depts in the early day of conversion. that demonstrated the safety/reliability of the weapon. Other pistols, safety or not, do not go off until somebody pulls the trigger or slams the hammer against something. Accidental discharges are human error...maybe she had a "3-screw Ruger" and hit the table leg with it? (sarcasm).
And for what it's worth, when the situation arises for use, first response is a winner...second place does not exist.
