I didn't know this... makes me feel better that the story won't be rushed in three episodes.

you're dumb if you believe that.

negan and maggie's show got renewed for a season 2.

darryl's show got renewed for a season 2.

it's inevitable that this show will get renewed.

I don't agree with that mainly because Andrew Lincoln and Danai Guirra seems to be pretty much done with The Walking Dead and are involved in other projects, unlike several of the walking dead mainstays.

I still think we are honestly lucky we did get a proper Rick and Michonne conclusion to their story.

And it better fricking end with him seeing Judith again

I swear that if they don't do this, I'll never defend any Walking Dead IP ever.

I hope it ends with Negan being the last man standing and returning to prime form. He ends up with RJ, Judith, and Hershel as his psycho lieutenants like he had planned for Carl.

I might be able to get on board with this.

Rick Grimes & Daryl Dixon's Reunion Is Inevitable, And This Walking Dead Detail Proves It

I don't imagine anything is guaranteed at this point but it feels like Andrew Lincoln will be doing more with TWD beyond this 6 episode season.

So was the Commonwealth interacting with CRM?

It doesn't appear so. CRM has only mentioned Portland and Omaha so far. Season 11 of the main show is after the destruction of the Omaha colony by CRM.

CRM destroyed Omaha because of the strain it's 90,000 residents put on resources. Seems unlikely they would not have seen the Commonwealth as a similar threat had they known about it.

It was absolutely boring. I mean, terrible. What's going on where he is in this episode should have been covered in 15 minutes. I will keep on for a bit.

Then Daryl Dixon: the book of Carole

I kind of want them to kill off Carol and/or Maggie. Am I the only one with this opinion?

Also I thought Ep 1 of "The Ones Who Live" was fine. Hope it gets better as it goes along.

That is what the CRM government told the populace. The reality is the CRM military destroyed Omaha, and intended to destroy Portland as well.

The reason was two fold. They were testing out a fungal/chemical agent that could stop reanimation, and the strain on resources 90 thousand survivors causes.

This all unfolds in the god awful World Beyond spinoff. The destruction of Omaha occurs in the 1st season.

This is eerily similar to bands like KISS trying to recapture the magic.

A "thing" has a run and TWD had its run.

The magic is over and it will never, ever be the same.

At this point, TWD is basically trying to push Fake Ace and Fake Peter on the audience for a check.

For me, when Carl died, it was all over as the whole point of the series was Rick trying to find his son and wife.

Bringing back Rick is interesting, but sad at the same time.

The Walking Dead turned into Gilligan's Island. They never changed clothes and it was just one misadventure after another.

Find safety, lose safety, kill someone off, find safety again. And never once did you see any of those assholes jump in a creek and wash off.

The weird looking garbage lady from the main show is actually an officer with the CRM, she revealed that it was intentionally taken out via chlorine gas attack on The World Beyond.

I enjoyed the first episode since I went in with low expectations. The black guy getting killed in the chopper scared the shite out of me.

Way more plausible than Judith being a sword-wielding badass 10 year old.

I watched it. Interesting that they took his hand, and in kind of a dumb way. The rest seemed like a lot of the same nonsensical fever dream shite they'd gotten into with Fear.

I rewatched.

I do have to give them some credit. If they did this five years ago, they would have made four seasons of filler to get us to where the first episode ended.

A quick recap of the past five years and getting Rick and Michonne back together in a quick lazy way was absolutely the best call.

I’ve never liked this move. Didn’t like it in the Sopranos or in any other series where they tried it.

i don't get the point of him losing his hand. That's already been done.

Merle lost his hand. Aaron lost his hand, Herschel lost his leg. The whisperer chick lost her hand.

maybe that's it? payback for causing Merle to lose his hand?

interesting way to kill the other guy. when you've seen enough shite that being covered in the co-pilot's blood and guts doesn't shake you.
