Last year's team went cold for several weeks late in the season and turned it back around. LSU has a lot of talent and quality coaches, no need to worry this early.

A lot of people have selective memory about last years team. They think they were perfect from game one till the end. Yes, they had a period where bats were extremely cold.

There was a 3 week period where Crews wasn’t hitting well at all. Pearson started the season ice cold. I remember after the Iowa game in Round Rock all the haters came out dissing the team saying they couldn’t hit elite pitching.

It’s a journey, and it’s a fun one, if you enjoy the game and understand it.

It’s February. They’re moving people around in the lineup to find the best lineup. They’re going to do fine…..especially once warm weather arrives

When it gets warmer lol.

This team is decent but if anyone is expecting anything like last year you've lost your damn minds.

Seems like everyone just expects Jay’s teams to figure it out at the plate

I mean…for good reason. He has proven to be able to find and coach hitters

Seems more likely to be a middle of the road SEC offense this year.

That would still be a top 30ish offense nationally. Still plenty good enough to win a lot of games. I think once he settles into a lineup he likes you will see guys get more comfortable and get Into a better rhythm.

Also not saying this is the case, but with so many positions unsettled, it could be causing guys to press a little bit to make things happen instead of just letting it come to them.

Nobody thinks they will rake like last year, but they should be good enough that with our pitching they can compete with anyone

Kling, Bingham, Pearson, Milam all gonna hit .300+ this year.

White obviously.

Travinsky/Neal/Milazzo are going to hit plenty well for C.

That leaves 1B, 1 MI and 1 OF spot to nail down.

Jones at .260 is on the fence. I’m worried he falls off when SEC pitching arrives.

Brown seems like a shoe-in. Can he keep it going? If so, that solves the OF and MI as it keeps Pearson at 2B.

This team is gonna by a good hitting team all year, regardless if we’ve had a game or two subpar.

Not sure what's so funny about that, it's a universal truth.

This team is way better than "decent," but you're right anybody expecting them to hit like last year's team is crazy. However, it seems like the negative people are the only ones unfairly holding them to that standard and have stupidly made up their minds on this team after only 7 games. Good thing is there's more than one way to skin a cat, an this team can be very, very good and make a run to Omaha despite not having an all-time lineup like year.

But progress is not linear, we are playing a lot of young guys who haven't played much if at all and asking other guys who have to take on much bigger roles than they have previously. There will be ups and downs, we'll score 15 runs 1 day and 3 the next. There will be stretches early where multiple guys are scuffling. But they'll figure it out and will be hitting plenty well enough by the end of the season to go along with the deep pitching staff to make a championship run. Not saying we'll win it--it's really fricking hard--but it won't be because we suck on offense.

Stony Brook’s 4th starter is probably the equivalent of Dunham’s ace

You post this dumpster fire of a message while LSU goes on to score 10 within 2 innings.
