If I told you preseason I'd have more confidence in Herb hitting 3s than Trey...

Trey is now down to .347 from 3 and Herb is at .415.

That's wild.

I think the positive takeaway is that growth is not linear.

I don't think Trey is now a bad shooter or that Herb is Steph.

It just shows that Herb is putting in work and Trey is slumping and lacking confidence. I'm sure things will revert back to the mean at some point, but with Herb settling in around 38 percent and Trey getting back to close to 40.

The shooting is the least of my worries overall with Trey.

It’s every other aspect of the game in which he’s giving the team nothing that’s the most concerning .

Herb is the highest IQ and lives for the game and it shows.

The league has noticed too and it’s helped a lot with clearing up space. Miami didn’t really leave Herb by himself behind the arc at all

Honestly, goin' in to start of season, I woulda been very happy with Herb improving to shooting 35%-36% on 3s for the year. Now...at this point, I don't know WHAT to think !!

He's getting MUCH more confident goin' to the basket & has started to figure out that he can, on his own, just turn the corner off the dribble & continue on the hoop. Will only get better at this as it is still a new development. He's learning how to play offense "on the fly"...in the NBA. NOT...an easy thing to do.

In the "wth was that?" category...I'm pretty sure he knocked down an off-hand baby hook, coming across the lane. In 6 years or so, I've never seen that one. The guy is only gonna get better...offensively...as his confidence grows.

BTW: As someone mentioned earlier...I agree that this was maybe the first time this year that I have thought Herb was a bit gassed. Showed a bit...coming down the stretch.

Part of the difference is shot selection. Trey is shooting 3’s quickly off the catch from what feels like the logo at times. When you’re struggling, there’s no use in taking harder shots, quicker shots, or shots with people in your face just because you’ve made them in the past. Take a dribble and create a better shot or pass the ball.

More easy shots equals more makes which equals elevating confidence and thus better percentage on the tougher ones. He’s simply forcing too much this year

Herb has been a better basketball player than Trey every step of the way.

I like Trey, but this board in general talks him up too much.

Herb is tracking to becoming baby Kawhi. His handles have definitely improved and truthfully we should continue to create more plays for him.

I basically view Herb as a late blooming Kawhi and he is untouchable.
