Have to travel up to Shreveport for basketball game tomorrow night…

Looking for some pit stops to make with my wife to break up the trip… places to eat? Anything to see/do?

Appreciate the insight!

Lea's Lunchroom in LeCompte. Old school diner with decent food. Definitely get a slice of pie.

Get pulled over in St. Landry Parish

But seriously, if you're not in a rush you can take a trip into downtown Natchitoches and explore there. Lea's, as mentioned, is another good spot.

The Loves on the north side of Alexandria has clean bathrooms, but be sure to come to a complete stop at the 4-way stop sign that you must pass through coming and going to the parking lot. A fricking Boyce cop sits there and writes chickenshit tickets.

Y-Not Stop Buhlow off Hwy 71/165 Alexandria is a very clean gas station. Always stop in there on the way to deer camp.

Is Lea’s still open? I feel like the last few times i’ve passed it’s been deserted

In Alexandria Brocato’s and Atwood’s are nice lunch spots

Yes, Lea’s is still open. My husband went last week and brought home a slice of pie … the best!

Thanks for the suggestions!

I believe we will stop in Natc and bounce around the downtown area around the river.

The pie sounds great!

I travel the country for work. Lafayette to Shreveport is the most boring stretch in the country. I have driven the entirety of the Dakotas, Nebraska et al.
