There's a famous old pub near Trafalgar Square called Lamb and Flag. Get a reservation. Worth it.

My favorite restaurant near your hotel is Scott's in Mayfair, an upscale seafood restaurant.
My favorite restaurant in London is Rules near Covent Garden.

Schedule an afternoon tea at Kensington Palace gardens, if your wife is into that sort of thing. We loved it!

Love that area and did this exact trip a few years ago.
Blanking on and but there is a mid April remembrance day for war veterans. Caught a very moving March and presentation by the tomb of the unknown soldier. Could have also been tied to queens jubilee so don’t quote me on that.
Churchill war rooms. National portrait gallery. London eye, British museum All kinds of stuff right there.
Food: Dishoom, Bao, Noble Rot, champagne Charlie’s, American bar, lamb and the flag, Barrafina, The Blackfriar, could go on and on.

Check and see what's playing at the royal Albert hall.
