Carry a towel with you at all times.
Even in the midwest those seats will get hot during the summer.

I'm 30 so obviously wasn't around back then, does anyone know why a vinyl top was considered an "upgrade" back then?
It was just a design / styling feature popular in those days, usually on higher end cars like caddy's or fully optioned larger models of most brands. Sort of like the small "opera" windows on the C pillar of luxury cars in that era. Neither functional at all.
Beautiful car, congrats.

I hope your husband doesn't get mad when he finds out.

Wouldn't be my first choice but that's still a very fine selection and would happily turn my head if I was walking down the street watching it drive by

I knew a lady in BR that had that car when I was a kid, but hers had a white vinyl top. She traded it in on a 4 door 1974 Impala, same colors. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Very close, 1969 Caprice.
Is it old enough to keep driving after the EMP wipes out all new cars?
