I hear Pyongyang has very nice grocery stores, with affordable and stocked shelves.

Perhaps North Korea knows how to take care of North Korea First where everybody seems to be living comfortably in very clean cities with virtually zero crime, but but but that is considered evil to American politicians! Evil!!

American media is literal propaganda.

You have to step outside from it to know reality.

And here you go with the utter silliness by you again.

Everyone knows North Korea has been suffering from food shortages for quite some time.

When you make posts like that it doesn’t help your image.

1) he should do China and North Korea next…the trifecta of communist countries!!!

2) it’s kinda odd that he was allowed access to go shopping in such an authoritarian country- it’s almost like they wanted to present that the utopian society works lol…a rose by any other name is just propaganda

3) and lol at all these conservatives being duped by the master of deception lol- the world has indeed flipped its head

These threads are always interesting - there's a group here that will downvote anything if it doesn't attack Russia.

Might be the dumbest comment from you, ever.

I have been to the area on the border of Russia and Ukraine.

I have been to their supermarkets.

In certain areas, yes. In others, no.

For example, my wife emigrated to the US because she wanted to make more money and the US seemed more exciting and fun. And she’s made more money. The fun aspect hasn’t turned out like she thought (aside from meeting me, of course). I can honestly tell you that I will take a night out in Moscow over a night out in Atlanta and that’s an easy choice.

But her family doesn’t really want for anything they really need. Granted, they are upper middle class.

China is not bad at all, if you have ever been there recently.

See, this is the ignorance of which I speak.

A lot of people still think Russia is a communist country. And most of these people don’t even know what communism is.

I can’t fault them fully, what with the state of American education and media. But ultimately you have to help yourself become more knowledgeable and you can do so today with the tools available.

Great analogy, how about people lining up to come here being enticed with 2 years free rent, $10,000 payments, UN issued smart phones, Debut Cards with free money.

Maybe Russia isn’t in the mood to commit suicide and bankrupt all its citizens. Anyone trying to compare the 2 countries to crap on Russia, it’s 2 completely opposite mindsets from leadership. Our leaders hate the average American, they push us into financial bondage so we can pay for the deadbeats in this country. And Russia is “Russia 1st” while preserving their culture and traditions. DC is destroying the American Dream

Some of you simple minded clowns on this board never cease to amaze me.

No, it’s been a bit- i lived there a year but it wasn’t a big city at all… the closest city w/ a train station was 45min away by bus - but we did live an hour from Shanghai - that was legit fun

But i was meaning the food cost comparison…. I mean i was paid an equivalent of USD $300 a month and lived like a middle class here… enough to eat out all the time and travel every weekend/ some really great memories

Avg salary in Russia per month = 1139 usd
Avg salary in USA per month = 6228 usd

$104 is 9% of a Russians average monthly salary
$400 is 6.4% of a Americans monthly average salary

Math is amazing folks. I'll take the second option please.
