The fact that they pushed release out a year, kept info close to the vest, just dropped a trailer today, and full details won't be released until May gives me hope that they're including and fine-tuning everything they can to make the game as good as it used to be.
My sweet summer child.

Yea, the release was pushed back to maximize spending in the NIL (ultimate team) mode, not to fine tune gameplay and recruiting details.

This game is almost guaranteed to be a pile of crap. EA has fallen off a cliff since the last time an NCAA game came out.

No, no it's not.

Madden gets a ton of hate but it’s a good game. Not sure why they get the amount of hate they get, but I’ve always enjoyed the franchise. Is it perfect? Hell no. But it’s gotta be really hard to capture then recreate the authenticity of REAL football into a playable video game
The problem with Madden is that with EA having exclusive rights to the NFL, there really is no motivation to innovate and make the gameplay better.
With no alternative options like the NFL 2Ks and NFL Fevers of the early 2000s, EA has a monopoly, and no one pushing them and forcing them to innovate.

If this is madden re packaged with college jerseys im going to be so pissed.
I wouldn't expect anything differently here.

Assuming you meant "Madden" where you said "Masses" here, you couldn't be more wrong. The madden franchise has objectively decayed over it's life as it's moved focus towards maximizing micro transactions. the games from the mid 2000's have more features than the games that are released today.
I personally think this year's Madden gameplay is the best I've ever played. FWIW, I've never been crazy about Madden, always 100% addicted to NCAA. But gameplay on Madden this year is solid.

It really is good this year. But people just parrot the same talking points they hear on the internet and don’t even try to see the good side of the game.

How do you recommend them doing this? What are your complaints? Be specific

Do you have madden 24?

They really need to bring back the FCS schools. I'm tired of playing FCS Northwest as my opener. I wonder how/if medical redshirts will be used.

Probably the biggest thing is turning off the X Factor or Superstar abilities. They're so dumb. I like that you can turn it off, but not sure if you can do that online?
But having traits like when you get into a zone that every one of your passes is perfectly accurate, for example, just get rid of that or only have that in arcade mode. If I'm playing simulation or competitive, that should automatically be out of the game.
With the sliders, other than penalties, you can really hone in on getting very realistic gameplay offline IMO. Can't speak to online, never play that for Madden. Would only go online for NCAA.

I've heard Notre Dame won't be in the game. I know everyone hates ND but you can't have a college football video game without them in it.
Even so, that whole debacle was dealt with over a year ago. They’re in the game now

Absolutely you can. The game won’t miss 1 independent school.

No NCAA in the title has me wondering how many schools will be in the game.
I read that there are currently 120 FBS schools in the game. So, if it stays the same, 13 schools won't be in it. Pretty sure it's all contract related.

Personally, I have none since I haven't played in years.
My satement was based on reading messageboard complaints over the last 10-15 years, lol.

The deal will mean that teams not a part of the Collegiate License Company will not be in the game such as Air Force, Army, Georgia State, Kentucky, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Troy and USC."
Notre Dame has always had their own licensing, thats whats why anytime you fired up a previous NCAA game Notre Dame had their own trademark on the startup screen with all the other licenses
Posted on 2/15/24 at 2:53 pm to shel311
Exactly. Having the Big 10 without Ohio State or the SEC without Alabama would be noticeable

Pre NCAA going away it felt like NCAA was different enough in gameplay from madden to keep my satisfied.
That was the charm and joy of it...especially in the early years...it was quite different than Madden.
