Trump didn't endorse him during the primary. Trump gave Lankford a token endorsement before the general election against the Democrat.
I'm sure you've said Trump's great endorsement record is meaningless because he mostly only endorses Republicans who are certain to win like Lankford in Oklahoma. Don't try to act like his endorsement of Lankford in a sure victory means anything now.

I can't read the link, so this is just a theory.
Everyone who reads here regularly knows that I am not a Trump apologist, but it's very possible—and given the source of the article (Rolling Stone), some might even say likely—that Trump's statement was taken out of a context in which he was commenting on the specific time that he didn't endorse him without intending to imply or state that he never did so on another occasion.
"There were five piece of cake just two days ago. Did you eat the last piece of cake?"
"No!"
I don't mean I've NEVER eaten the last piece of cake on any occasion. I mean I didn't eat the last piece of cake on the day in question.
Again, I don't know if that's what's happening here or if Trump's just boldly lying to everyone's face—either is probably equally possible. But a lot of stuff gets posted here that turns out to be a fugazi upon close examination.
