I definitely don't lift to keep bulking up. I lift to be in good shape and to get the resistance training in general.


ffmi specifically...not that i know of but there are studies on muscle and longevity...they are correlation of course but they show positive outcomes especially in quality of life.

I have long been of the mind (especially after hearing Nolan Ryan talk about the virtues of weight lifting and the longevity of his career) that resistance training is more important than "cardio". Attia seems to be coming out now claiming shite like 15+ hours of cardio per week is the be all, end all (despite being radically unrealistic, IMO). What's your opinion?
