I do. A few years ago the players went to Jay and PGA counsel and proposed some joint equity in some new “elevated” tournaments. The PGA literally laughed in their faces. Opened the door for LIV.

Lol, what opened the door for LIV was a state sponsored machine in which money was no object and could pay players significantly more money for significantly less investment. There is no way the PGA can compete with that, only dishonest characters who want to pretend like it's about something other than money creating a fantasy for dumbs to believe and make themselves feel better about whoring out. At least Harold Varner was honest about it all.

I was a 4 Aces fan for the first couple of seasons, but I’m all in on the new Rahm team of Legion XIII

Wasn't the PGA just in Dubai? I guess that Islamic money there isn't as "bloody" as the LIV money...

You have your tours confused. Maybe the European DP Tour? They usually make a couple of stops in the Middle East.

Yep. Glad we got “more golf” to watch this weekend or else there would have been no golf to watch today

Definitely nice to have a playoff LIV tournament under the setting sun in Mexico while the PGA was rained out in Pebble Beach.

15 of the last 31 majors were won by guys who play LIV golf.

ESPN supposed to show PGA leaderboards for non designated events or whatever the frick they decide to call them with a field full of bums but ignore star studded Liv events?

Put me on the camp of people shocked at how uninteresting and poorly done LIV is but who has no moral outrage about it and thinks the pearl clutching is ridiculous

It’s all about the money. Golf was one sport were there was at least a little bit of integrity left.

LIV was very good today. Not a huge fan of the music and have no interest in the team competition but the last 5-6 holes of Rahm, Sergio and Niemann battling it out commercial free and the playoff was a better 2.5 hours than anything the PGA Tour has produced this year.

But anyone who hates LIV does have another classic Detry/Pavon showdown in between 600 commercials tomorrow.

Brother, nobody gives a frick about 90% of tournaments outside of the majors

fricking this. I can never understand why people even choose to spend hours of a beautiful Saturday or Sunday watching a lower-level golf tournament instead of actually going onto a course and playing.....but I'm not going to shite on people for doing it. I just don't bother watching it.

If you don't like LIV.....then don't watch it. If you don't like ESPN's sports coverage....then don't watch it.

PGA had an opportunity to give the players some equity and it would have prevented LIV from taking off. They arrogantly laughed in the faces of their talent.

SOME player's equity in the game. The top 35 get a bigger piece of the pie. So the PGA is promising the very rich that they will get richer. The PGA is flush with players, over 200 of them. As long as the have-nots continue to be the vast majority in pro golf players will have zero faith in Monahan and Tiger, and Cantly, and anyone else making up this new business model board.

The original plan the players proposed years ago and were laughed at by the pga was giving equity to every player in the field of those proposed events.

It's Jay's job to maximize the players' financial opportunities. The fact he didn't start hustling for the players until a threat loomed just shows he's been coasting and lazy. How the PGAT players haven't run his arse out of town is beyond me.

I used to think of golf as a gentleman’s game. It appears to have been taken over by money-worshippers.

Which you would think is important and fair given Monahan constantly telling the world that the PGA belongs to the players. He means in name, not in economic value. Try spending that at the grocery store.
