OG Law & Order isn’t trash and never has been.
The new episodes of it certainly aren’t as good as the classics, mainly because the acting has really fallen off. Moriarty and Waterston were such strong actors who could carry the show, but Dancy just doesn’t have the same gravitas. Jerry Orbach was absolutely perfect.
But the simple, basic formula of “the police who investigate the crimes, and the district attorneys who prosecute the offenders” with cases “ripped from the headlines” generally remains watchable.
Now, Law & Order SUV is garbage and has been for well over ten years ever since it became “Days of Olivia’s Lives”.

Get fricked. OG Law and Order is great and Waterston is an institution.
I miss Law and Order: Criminal Intent as well. Goren and Eames were great.
