It is what it is

What a lazy, retarded statement. On a local level many restaurants, bars and businesses have had to close because they drove off their customers with overt political rhetoric. Including some in yalls back yards of Nola, BR and Lafayette. On a national level media outlets are shuttering left and right due largely in part to people no longer buying into the propaganda they are spewing. Bud Light sales are still down over 30% from this time last year. The NFL took a major gut punch from the Kaepernick deal and other divisive stances. Sure it would be hard to garner enough right wing outage to topple a Fortune 500 company. But you can damn sure affect their bottom line. Or I guess you can just do you, write it off as a loss, and bend over and take a communist dick up your arse.

The NFL is making more money and has better ratings than it has ever had before.

Name them for me.

Most places that have closed down that come to mind in Lafayette were only a surprise in that they were open for so long. A lot of marginal places limped through COVID-19 and never really recovered.

Eating out has gotten very expensive, so some of it is about that.

Several local places were a casualty of aging owners whose kids didn't want to deal with a fickle public and the huge amount of time a smaller family restaurant takes to keep going.

I may be missing a place that lost customers because of a political stance. Places lose customers because they provide a subpar product or service relative to the competition., location, and trying to provide something people are not really interested in buying (that can be a timing issue, either too early or too late to the table).

Don't get me wrong, I think it is usually a bad idea to take a very strong political stand for a business that serves the general public. Know your customer base and be particularly cautious about jumping on the cause de jour.

Nah. Media is changing. The internet is drawing from the traditional outlets.

They have never been more popular as you morons haven't the fortitude to stick with any boycott. Big talk then cave in because these people that hate you are your only means to feel good about yourself when they win. Pitiful.
