married 15 years, 3 boys 12/11/8, both of us are conservative...both work. She has always worked and now owns her own business. I have always worked. we have joint accounts and its all our money.

Amen. And the same goes for the man in the family. Raising a family takes everything you got and far too many men think earning an income is the limit of their responsibility. When the kids get older and the wife has no marketable skills she is as fricked as a soup sandwich. Damned if I could respect an adult who got themselves in that position.
