If i ever did remarried, i would definitely want a woman to work because another income would be necessary to live comfortably

In. Single income house hold. We have 3 kids though so it's made financial sense with the cost of daycare it would have been a bigger hit. Luckily, it's been a good income. She might do something part time soon.

While the kids were young, my wife stayed at home. Once they both got school age, she started working some, mostly at the school to pay tuition. Now she has a shop at the house (she's a hairdresser). Oldest is 21 and youngest is 16. It was a struggle at times, but well worth it.

Wife works, but as a nurse she only works 3 days a week so she has a days during the week to drop off/pick the kids up from school. She just got her master's degree and will be an NP in a couple months

I make $85k and wife makes $72k.
I sincerely wish I was making $150k/year and she stayed home.

Are most conservative members here single HH income? Would you be open to your wife working and putting kids in daycare?
My wife makes more than me & she's an OT 10 (no pics), we both have good-paying jobs. I can't imagine trying to live on a single income these days

I’m divorced but of all the couples i knew in my early 20s, only one is still together. The wife never worked after kids and the husband focused on his career and they are millionaires now hanging out with celebrities.

For better or worse, my wife said she has 2 degrees and worked too hard to get fully licensed to just stop working. FWIW, we are dinks but are in the “planning phase” of adding to our family. Who knows how it’ll actually play out

But there’s no way we’re sending him to today’s public schools.
Eventually he'll have to interact with the public... my cousin wife and her siblings were home schooled...good people kinda socially awkward though...

Homeschooling isn’t about avoiding the public. This is the silly “socialization “ argument. Homeschool kids have plenty of public interaction, just not in public schools

It’s just a saying.
In reality, when she decided to stay at home with our first I had to make sure that she could have enough to carry on for a number of years and not have to replace my salary. That’s what we did.
If I got hit by a bus tomorrow she could pay off the house and have about 9 years of expenses…so she’ll be fine.

They get to take home free oysters? Can I have their boss's phone number?
