Bingo. Things are so dire that Abbott went to India for 10 days. Left on January 19th.

They'll make an event out of nothing with or without the participation of the population. We've seen it. Time to stop worrying about what they'll do because they are apparently not worried about what we'll do or they have calculated that we will do nothing.
It's why they have to stage the events.

But this love for Civil War and threatening other Americans is where I draw the line. It's feeding right into their plan. It will end up being. Jan 6th event and everyone that goes will regret it, because the politicians are just 'playing" outrage with no intent of doing a damn thing.
Jefferson Davis should have taken DC when he had the chance and we wouldn’t be in this mess. This corrupt, lawless federal government has overstepped its bounds one too many times. Refusing to defend the country against an invasion and obstructing border states’ right to defend themselves is malevolent and an absolute line in the sand.
The states created the federal government, not the other way around. Time for governors to remember that instead of being pushed around by this leviathan monster.
My only fear is that Abbott will back down if Biden sends more feds down there. He has every right, and the people of Texas have every right, to defend their state sovereignty and their welfare.

Like always, nothing will come of this. It is all political pandering. Same song, different year. Quit listening to idiot politicians long ago. They don't want border issues to end. They'd lose $$$ if that happened. Plus, outside of a few border towns, the illegals have zero effect on the average Texas citizen. Other than giving us more choices and bargaining power with our lawn guys. I never hear anyone at work, church, on the golf course, at the lake, deer lease, etc. complain or even talk about it.

Disagree, same complacency would've gotten us to the same place

Yep, if experience tells us anything is that Republicans will let us down but let's pray this is different

"Send in the Feds"? Who actually could biden's handlers send in? If they Federalize the Nat. Guard, & the Guard refuses, the Army? Is there a legal way to send in the U.S. Army to fight American citizens?

You don’t think it is concerning that 8 million people have illegally crossed the border?

Sure I do. But, as someone who has lived in Texas since I left Gainesville a week after graduation in 96, I realize nothing is going to change at the border until politicians stop caring about their own power and pocketbooks. They use the crisis for clicks and to get on tv. Take that bipartisan immigration bill that senators have worked on and had come to an agreement on. Trump told Mitch to shelf it because he wants to use the border crisis to campaign off of. First meaningful bipartisan agreements regarding immigration in years and now nothing will come of it. Again because of the desire for $$$ and power. All politicians are full of shat as far as I'm concerned.

While this is certainly true, there is also no denying it is an absolutely terrible agreement that would still allow millions of illegals into the country.

Bidens mouth has locked him into a lose-lose outcome.

I'm proud of wheels! Busing to new york and Chicago, using the national guard to close the border. The man deserves a medal. Arise!
