I know it doesn't matter because we know he is good. But great to see him recognized.

I’ll be the first to say it:

Watching him this year (just some highlights and clips can’t say full games or anything), I really didn’t think we were missing out. Yes, desperately need DTs and you don’t want to lose your in state top guy. But I, and I think lots of people, sorta thought he was way way overrated. But he went to that UA bowl, against the best players in his class, and every day he stood out. With Bo Davis keeping him motivated, this kid is going to be a monster

Also now #18 in 247's final rankings.

eta: No 5th star for Green.

Remember a few weeks ago when this kid was “soft” and some of you were glad he was headed out of state?

I was guilty of downplaying his ability. I saw 1 game, against LCA and gave dat too much credence to that 1 performance.

Admittedly, he got worked over all game by a shorter smaller center.

Since then he's had a good season and a dominant showing at the All American game and practices.

With Bo guiding him, with his elite physicality, he could be an All SEC first round draft kind of player.

What he has is the type of natural ability to bend and get underneath pads while keeping balance that you just don’t see very often. That gives you a ton to work with. He’ll get bigger and stronger, with better technique. So many dominant DTs in high school cant get low, but get away with it because they are just so much bigger and stronger than the oline they are facing.
