I would reccomend a a300, but try all the ones mentioned and find the one that fits her best. For me its all about fit. If you drop down to 20 there are lots of bismuth options for shells that kill ducks dead.

I’d drop back to the Franchi 20 and spend the money on better ammo.
She’ll have ample range and lethality.
If she’s not a great shot, visit an instructor a few times preseason.

Gas is softer and smoother.
I have an oiled Beretta 391 urinalysis and kicks less then the Franchi affinity elite.
Both are great guns.

For duck hunting I prefer inertia, he is going to get reduced recoil with the 20.

I'd personally take her to a range with some options, at least a auto 20 and auto 12 and have her shoot with some duck hunting clothes on. You could always get a stock cut down a lot. But I'll be honest a 20 is often a LOT smaller and just more comfortable for kids and women. She probably doesn't hunt much so some high end 20 gaugu 3" shells are probably more than enough and not a huge expense.

Check out Mossberg’s 940 Pro series. They are a pleasure to shoot. And fast as lightening. Jerry Miculek had a hand in designing it. About $1200.

The Franchi Affinity is a cool gun, but it’s light and it kicks. I bought the compact for my fiancé and she doesn’t like to shoot it. If recoil is an issue, I’d go with a gas gun.

My bride shoots an m2 20g, she’s killed everything from doves to giant honkers with it.
