They gave up on a lot of boards and were boxed out because they let themselves disengage before they had to or should have.

This is a coaching issue. Instruct your players to not leak out on transition but find a body, box out, and crash as soon as a shot goes up.

It's not Hunter Dean's fault he cant grab a rebound when hes competing against multiple Aggies in the paint and he's the only Tiger actually crashing the glass.

This is the same excuse that people use about DBs not looking for the ball. There are only a couple reasons why they don’t or can’t look.
1. They are not athletic enough and have to run as fast as they can and have “play the receiver” vs playing the ball every play.
2. They aren’t coached to look for the ball.

When you’re in Jr, you’re taught to play the ball. No coaching “adjustment or instruction” can change that. It is the same with rebounding and boxing out. They are taught that from a very young age. Them leaking is not on McMahon. I guarantee you they practiced and were reminded of it all week, yet they failed and got their asses whipped on the boards.

They were crashing down. Many of the rebounds would just hit off the rim out towards the 3 point line.
