I take Effexor and that is not a medicine you can stop taking cold turkey. I’m shocked you haven’t experienced other, more noticeable side effects. Even skipping 1 day by accident gives me a dizzy sensation in my head and I immediately know that i forgot to take the medicine.
You need to reach out to your doctor’s emergency line and let him/her know the last time you took your meds and that you need to meet with him/her immediately for a refill. This is URGENT.
I have had a pharmacy provide me with an emergency 3 day supply in the past while they waited for my Rx to be sent in. It’s definitely something you can request.
I have to stress to you again how dangerous it is that you’ve stopped this medication cold turkey and you have to immediately get in touch with both your pharmacy and your doctor to make them understand 1) how long you’ve been on the meds and 2) how many days you’ve missed.
If you experience any thoughts, feelings or side effects that make you uncomfortable, please immediately reach out for emergency care. Also, please let a family member or friend know the situation so they can also keep an eye on you to observe any concerns you may miss.
Good luck.
