Wait, Ozempic is just semaglutide rebranded? Weren't these pills? Why are they shots now?

Ozempic is semaglutide and it's been around for a long time for diabetes, always in shot form.

The key thing about semaglutide and terzepatide (zepbound) is that they largely do not do much if the person that takes them does not make dietary and exercise changes. They are a tool, a very powerful tool, but they aren't going to magically make one skinny without lifestyle changes, particularly not long term.

There's no reason to shite on people using any tool to help with weight loss.

Ozempic is a shot
Rybelsus is a pill version of semaglutide.
Wegovy is the weight loss version of semglutide, and is a shot.

Mounjaro is tirzepatide and is a shot.
Zepbound is the weight loss version of Mounjaro and is a shot.
