Anyone watch this ? It’s got very good reviews on IMDB. I read that S1 is excellent

Truly incredibly season of television and is infinitely rewatchable. I’ve never found it dull even on rewatches.
It’s amazing. Don’t even bother with the following seasons as they will never live up to it. The actors, writing, setting all sublime.

I was on a work trip and flipped to HBO in the hotel, which happened to be right when episode 1 was about to start. Had never heard of True Detective. Going through the season is at the top of the greatest TV experiences I’ve had, and to think it I stumbled across it by mere happenstance.

If you haven't see any of them, I'd watch Season 3 then Season 1.
The seasons aren't connected and Season 3 is still good television, but you can't go into it with the expectations of Season 1. So just flip em!
