The neat trick is that you can make up whatever you want about the actual specifics of your experience. Can't lie about dates and titles because those get confirmed via background check, but you get to choose how the details of your work are represented and as long as you can back that up in an interview you're golden.
What type of sales are you moving to? Is it pure hunting for new business, growing existing customers, or fostering partner/reseller relationships?
